Bhagat Tarachand - Navi Mumbai

I have visited Bhagat Tarachand only once recently, although this place is very popular among my acquaintances. Its the foremost choice for vegetarian food, and since I mostly prefer atleast one non-veg when I dine-out, I was not very keen on this place earlier.Well,I must admit, I was more than satisfied with my experience here. We had thaali, paneer tikka masala and butter milk which turned out to be very well-cooked and delicious.What especially stood out was buttermilk! Had hot gulab jamuns in dessert which was awesome. And whats icing on the cake is that it's a very affordable restaurant. It certainly lived up to the popularity it boasts of.PS: Don't go there expecting a fine-dining experience because that's not what it is.

As many have a written the original bhagat tarachand is in city centre. This is also good, their taste is unique but not very special to mention. This hotel lacked cleanliness. Otherwise, they have provided good phulkas, and vegetables were tasty. Ofcourse, no one beats their chaas in bottle

Visited this place sometime ago since my friends wanted to eat a vegetarian meal. The wait was very long since this chain is seriously popular specially amongst the vegetarians. Truly enjoyed the dal tadka (spicy version) with phulkas.... amazing taste. And of course, the buttermilk which is served in a glass bottle that looks like a beer bottle ;-) worth a visit if you are ready to wait. If I am not mistaken, they do not entertain any table reservations... its only first come first serve basis :)

The restaurant is easy to locate on GPS, but avoid taking larger vehicles down the narrow road leading to it. The restaurant itself is spacious and the staff are friendly. The service was quick initially, but slowed down as the tables filled up. The food was plentiful and of good quality. Our children were not reprimanded for making noise. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. We recommend trying the chaas (buttermilk) and papad churi. The only downside is that it is a vegetarian restaurant.

The food quality at this restaurant is on par with its flagship location in Mumbai. The dishes are delicious and the tawa rotis are soft. However, the service was quite slow during my visit and the cleanliness did not meet the standards expected of the brand.
