Blue Stripes Cacao Shop: Nashville, Tennessee

Visiting from Birmingham, and was absolutely blown away! Although the menu is limited, everything we tried was phenomenal, so much in fact that we made a point to come back a second time. Definitely the best latte from a small coffee shop as it wasn’t bitter or overly sweet. The waffles are a must try as well. We will be back!!

Our family stumbled upon this gem today hoping for some decent coffee and a nice place to sit for 10 minutes on our busy day. What we experienced absolutely exceeded our expectations. We sat in the cafe for over an hour, the staff was so friendly and accommodating, the ambience was vibrant yet calming, and to top it all off, the coffee and pastries were incredibly delicious. Before we continued on our journey, we ended up chatting with Shawn who helps manage the cafe (and other establishments in the area). Shawn was so nice, friendly, and patient with us answering our questions about the area and making us feel like important customers during what I'm sure was a busy day for him. Shawn seems so committed to good customer service and quality of production, which was quite refreshing and humbling! We're excited to come back to Nashville specifically to visit Blue Stripes Cacao soon and encourage you to do the same!

I stopped here to get out of the heat and rest a bit with some ice cream…boy did I get more than I bargained for cuz they had booze too!! Employees were super friendly and free samples yum!

This coffee shop ran out of coffee after taking our money. The manager and staff are unable to correct the issue that could be avoided. They asked we wait 20mins to brew more coffee. When asked for a refund the manager started to be come rude about the issue. We will be doing a charge back on our Visa to resolve their rude acts.

Was a regular at this coffee shop. Until today. Will NOT be returning. They used to have the best coffee in the gulch, with shorter lines than Starbucks and higher quality coffee. The baristas were AWESOME. Walked in this afternoon to get my favorite latte only to discover that they no longer serve coffee AND my favorite baristas are no longer employed there. WHAT A SHAME!!!! Will be going to barista parlor from now on. Hopefully I find the staff at a new coffee shop.
