Sonobana Japanese And Grocery

Udon (especially the broth) was great, but the fatty tone was simply crazy and definitely as good as people say it is. This fish was especially expensive, but so it is worth it especially here where you don't see much. The staff was also friendly and waiting seemed quite fast to move.

If I had lived here, I would be normal! Fantastic prices. We had 4 reels plus a few sushi with a beer and a total of $50. Everything was good. Not five stars fresh and best cuts of sushi, but good. I would recommend it very much. Must also love a sushi menu.

I've been here for almost three years at least once a month. Not only the sushi is excellent, but there is a wide selection of traditional Japanese dishes such as Chasoba, Natto, Ochazuke and Dons. The grocery store has so many Japanese treats that are hard to find elsewhere in Nashville Sushi Grad cuts of fish and octopus, frozen Oden kits, Sonobana tempura mix, umeboshi plums, masago, homemade Japanese desserts like Mochi and Dango, and so much more! They even have fresh shiso leaves, which is incredible because I haven't found another grocery store that sells it.

If I could give them more stars, I would. My family and I were in town and decided to take a chance with this place after I saw the reviews. You didn't disappoint. We went on Tuesday night and they were full. I knew the food had to be good. We waited about 40 minutes for placement. I don't mind, though I understood they were busy. As soon as we sat down and ordered our food, we waited a while. They were super busy, but the hosts and waiters did their best to take us. Honestly, it was worth waiting for food. Our sushi was great and went within minutes. If I had lived here, I'd be a normal one. They were open about the closing time btw. We'll be back. I highly recommend you if you want Japanese food and sushi. 10/10!

We had a really great dinner here. Everything that we ordered was very good, as was the service. We were actually surprised when we got the bill that it was as affordable as it was. We will definitely be back. My fiance used to live in Japan and this is the closest we've found for authentic Japanese food in the area. The miso soup is especially flavorful; it's probably the best I've had. Definitely try it!
