If you are in downtown Nashville do yourself a favour and go get yourself some southern food. This location is really convenient to the country music hall of fame precinct & Omni hotel, short walk for some slow cooked deliciousness.
Four of us arrived at Martins BBQ around 2pm on Saturday afternoon. They did not have a parking lot, so we paid $5 an hour to park across the street. There was no wait, just a few people ahead of us in line. I ordered the BBQ nachos and my son ordered the ribs with mac and cheese and fries. My sister and her husband got the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese. We got our drinks at the counter and found a seat and waited for our food. We paid separately and each got a number to take to the table. The music was a little loud to carry on a comfortable conversation. It would have been nicer if it was turned down just a little. Our food took a little while and their food delivery system was a little clunky. The numbers they gave us for our food just sat flat on the table and the food runners could not see the numbers, so they walked around the restaurant hollering out the numbers and food descriptions over the loud music. When we got our food, my nachos were HUGE! They were good, but could have had more pulled pork and a little less slaw on them. The sauce on the table was tasty, but super thin. Everything was enjoyable, but the fries were a real hit. There did not seem to be any table servers, (Self refills on drinks at the counter) but someone did come by and clear our trays before we left. All in all good meal. A plus is they have outdoor seating.

It was good. I thought the BBQ sauce could be a bit less watery, but the taste was delicious. I also found that my brisk sandwich was usually fat, instead of meat. That was the only disappointing thing.
This restaurant was very fast, efficient and friendly. In addition, her brisket was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed a plate with brisket, pork shoulder, Coolslaw and French fries for a very reasonable price. Martins BBQ is easy in the first favorite restaurants for BBQ.
