Loveless Cafe - Nashville

Kenna was the highlight of our night and that says a lot considering how great the food is here. We tried the brisket which was wonderful. The kids had the chicken which is always right. And the biscuits? Oh, the biscuits! Kenna was friendly and helpful. She talked with us and asked if she could help us with the menu. She offered true southern hospitality! First time and it was great! They bring you biscuits and jam when you sit down. Servers were super friendly and informative. Fun shops to browse and shop in. So glad I finally made it there. Weirdly i lived in Nashville in the 80's and never heard of the place....went today for the first time. FUN!!! Fun, fun place to visit. Food is good! Service was excellent. I had heard so much about this place. I wanted to go for lunch but our schedule would not allow it so we did breakfast. Made a special trip there from the center of Nashville. We were all disappointed in our meal. The bright spot was the biscuits they were very good. But, the rest of the meal was mediocre. We were told the ham was amazing and we all thought it was too thin, dry and tough. I had bacon with my eggs and it was just run of the mill ordinary bacon I expected thick cut and really special bacon. Maybe I was just sold an inflated view of this restaurant but I must say, it’s nothing special. Not planning a return visit.
