I ordered a meatloaf plate with fried apples and mac n cheese. I didn't care for the mac n cheese. It was missing salt or something, but overall I enjoyed my food.
I got the fried pork chops and mac n cheese with green beans and I side of turnip greens. Not sure what was in the greens I had a few bits and I felt like I was having an allergic reaction and threw them up. But the rest of my food was good.
I always drive from lil cee to jones douglas and there is always a line in front, so I knew it was good. the dame behind me in the line told me their favorites that they serve and almost everything named on the menu. I have ripened, greens and mac and cheese with cornbread and cucumber, it was amazing. $14 and 5 minutes wait as soon as I have ordered. fantastic. only cash. only because of covid.
I have eaten with lil Cee’s for 12 years and you have always been the “Best” in down home southern cooking and hospitality.
I visited Lil Cees for the first time, and it was quite good! I ordered the fried pork chop dinner, which comes with two sides. I chose sweet potatoes and mac and cheese. The meal includes two decent-sized fried pork chops, which were flavorful and juicy. They really know how to season their food! The sides were a mixed bag; the sweet potatoes were tasty but served as a mash, and the mac and cheese was a bit underwhelming since it wasn't the typical baked version, though it was still okay. Unfortunately, the hot water cornbread didn't impress at all—it was hard and bland. The dinner was $14, which felt a bit high, but not unreasonable. One downside: they only accept cash! Who carries cash these days? If they took cards, I would have bought three meals! Overall, I’d rate this place an 8 out of 10. I'm definitely coming back to try the fried chicken.
