Narvikguten Pub

Great beer and a lively atmosphere. Definitely popular with the locals. The prices are a bit of a wake up call though 170 kr for a beer and a soda. Also, don’t expect any food in here. Not like it was promised anywhere, I just assumed pub food. Not at this pub.

To really experience the soul of Narvik, you do have to visit Narvikguten (The Narvik boy). There were live music when we visited and it was really nice to have a beer.

I visited this cozy bar twice within a couple of days. The first time, I paid 87Nok for a beer, which is a reasonable price in Norway. However, on my next visit, a female bartender charged me 141Nok for a tap beer. I was surprised as I thought I had ordered something special. When I asked for a regular lager for my second round, she charged me 126Nok. This pricing is unacceptable and embarrassing. It used to be possible to overcharge tourists, but now with the use of apps, customers are more informed.

Arrived on cruise ship on a Sunday nearly every thing was closed but the walk in the snow to this pub was well worth it for local culture and good beer. Very welcoming

Really nice service, Great atmosphere. Lots of different options of drinks. Great to mingle with the locals.
