Someone put a menu for the restaurant in our letterbox even though we live 5 km away and since we like Thai food we tried it. They have a lunch special from 11-3 for A$8.50 or $10 including a can of soft drink. Since a...bowl of soup costs $8 here and in similar restaurants this has to be a bargain so we couldn't resist. I had Massaman (beef) and my partner green curry with chicken. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the beef although it tasted OK and what so you expect at these prices? My partner was more impressed with the green curry but says she's not convinced to go back as we have good Thai restaurants much closer to home. The staff was friendly and they didn't charge for corkage as I brought wine but there is a bottle shop practically next door. You can pay a few dollars extra to get the lunch specials (of which there are roughly 20) with prawns or fish and maybe that's better.
