Catarina's Italian Village

During this Covid pandemic time, it's nice to have a local place to enjoy a dinner out with homemade dishes made with care and attention. Catarina's Italian Village has the most friendly staff and they are truly knowledgeable about the menu. The authentic, high quality ingredients make for specials and the everyday menu dishes. We always enjoy hearing about the dinner specials and look forward to the engaging conversation with Renee as you enter, Carol at the bar and either Susan, Josie or Debbie at the table. On a recent night out, we enjoyed the dinner special. The portion sizes are wonderful to share, especially when we start with an appetizer. This night we started with the spinach stuffed mushrooms, enjoyed a fresh-from-the-chef's-garden arugula, roasted pecan and mandarin salad with homemade dressing. We also shared the lasagna, which was made with their own Bolognese and fresh ingredients. We decided to finish it with the lemon meringue pie and the lemon cello aperitif at the end of the meal is a nice treat.

We finally tried Catarina's for the first time Friday night. We were greeted by the manager, Renee who was very welcoming. Good was very good!! Sangria was amazing service was exceptional. Great atmosphere as well!

Had Catarinas calamari . Nice and crispy with lettuce and chopped garlic,nice flavour.ambience was kind of quiet ,,,,go for it

I have been in the restaurant business for over 35 years. Came to this establishment because a friend of mine works here. He was not here however. Worst Italian food I've ever had in my entire life. Olive Garden puts out better chicken parmesan. Spoke to both the waitress and the hostess and shared how the sauce was burnt and the lemons on the clam sauce with soggy and slimy. They brought us over two shots of Limoncello never sent to manager over nothing. Will never ever step foot in this establishment again most horrific experience ever for my birthday. You will get a better meal at Olive Garden trust me.

Authentic high quality Italian Cuisine in a unique environment. The best Italian Restaurant outside of Providence. Never crowded and plenty of parking. Stunning view from the back of the facility of Narragansett Bay and the Bridges.
