If their best friends offer them a free evening meal, it's pretty hard to resist. we went to the capital golf bar bistro with a groupon voucher for up to worth food. hello steak! the menu had the usual pub fare of pasta, pizza, grilled meat and some kinder dishes, but I have right in this steak – scotchfilet to be exact. we actually ordered a teller garlic bread to begin that was slightly roasted and very buttery and garlicky (yes, when our food came out, I was disappointed that my steak was not medium-sized, as desired, but rarely – just a bit too much for me. the waiter was very apologetic and a new steak was brought out quite quickly. that was probably closer to medium, but definitiw better than to other wise. it came with garlic mash (small but tasty) and mushroom sauce (creamie with cut mushroom inside), and the steak itself was quite tender (not melt-in-your-mouth, but also not tough) and very delicious. the meal was what I would expect from an old school pub (instead of a gastro-pub), with great service.
