Bistro No 13 - NARBERTH

Had a lovely fish pie as a mid week lunch out. Veg were from the freezer, which is an off season thing, but fresh would have made the whole meal a 5 star! Pleasant staff and venue. Excellent coffee.

The staff at this restaurant are very friendly and attentive, especially the bartender. The cocktails are nice, but the list of ingredients for drinks is fairly limited and they do not have any local gins in stock. The starters were simple but tasty. The main course, lamb with crispy kale, was delicious and cooked perfectly. The wine list is not extensive but reasonably priced. I personally found the desserts to be too sweet, but this is a common issue at many restaurants.

The restaurant offers a variety of delicious coffee and cakes.

Excellent food, attentive staff and beautiful decor. Only issue was the smelly nail salon nextdoor, you can smell it as soon as you enter the first door. The smell is unnoticeable when you in the bistro eating area itself though.

Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. Although the menu sounded promising, the actual food was quite amateurish. The seabass with potatoes and vegetables was poorly cooked and lacked flavor. The service was lackluster and there was a tense atmosphere. It's a shame, as we had heard good things about this place before, but it's clear that the current set up, particularly the chef, is not up to par. The interior was appealing, but that was the only highlight for us. Overall, the food was mediocre and we left feeling like we had wasted our money. It seemed like no one really cared about providing a good dining experience.
