Add'u Fratemo - Napoli

Delicious pizza! We just happened upon this restaurant but it was so delicious. Nice, clean restrooms were available as well. There was a bit of an language barrier but that is to be expected when traveling. Would recommend.

If you want to experience true Italian friendliness, give this restaurant a miss. The staff are obnoxious, the service poor and the food pretty bad. They even served up the worst aperol spritz I have ever had and I live in England so thought I had already plumbed those particular depths. The waiter attempted to take card details prior to actually inputting the total we owed and a request for a cappuccino received a straightforward and unadorned “no” and, whilst I get nobody drinks cappuccino after noon, I have never as a paying customer been told simply ‘no’. So my message to the paying public of any nationality considering visiting this disaster is to do the same. Just say no.

Pizza was only ok there. You notice that they use cheap ingredients and the pizza was not really crispy. Further, they should be more aware of cleanliness. You can see in the picture that the vine glass was not clean. There are better places to eat in Napoli!

Absolutely stunning dinner. Every dish we ordered was superb. And a lovely ticked away location away from the hustle and bustle but still central and convenient.

I visited this place on 29 September 2023 for dinner and I absolutely do not recommend this place. The food quality was quite low and when we complained about their food, our request was completely ignored and we were charged for food we did not consume because it was not good. We ordered the tomato and mozzarella salad and the mozzarella was really warm and rubbery. When we complained, the chef appeared, eating mozzarella from a plate, saying it is all ok. When we asked for olive oil, they came up with some oil that we could not recognize what it was. I think as people from south Italy, and especially from Napoli, they should be completely embarrassed with the quality of the food and oil they serve. While they might think they are entitled to charge us 8€ for the salad we did not like, I would like to remind them that it contributes to the “bad” reputation stories that people tell about Napoli. I am very disappointed with this restaurant.
