The Rooster Food+drink - Naples

The overall ambience and decor is lacking. Outside tables are old and the umbrellas are broken. They don’t tilt correctly. Server was ok but lacked energy. The food was ok but missed the mark. Not a great choice with so many options in Naples. Won’t go back for average.

If I could give this small restaurant higher then 5 stars, I would. I came at the recommendation of another regular patron for the grouper. I ordered the grouper thinking it was a sandwich. What I got was a grouper dinner over rice, mixed with mango and pineapple. Now I am a picky eater, but this was the best tasting grouper dinner I ever had. The explosion of flavors was amazing. Will come back as a regular for this one dish.The dish I am referring to was the Rooster Almond Crunchy Grouper. I had to compliment the chef/ owner since it was the best thing I have eaten.

This place is amazing and quirky at the same time. I would really study the menu as it is pretty unique. This is by no means a fancy restaurant if you are talking atmosphere and service, but by the food is fancy restaurant quality. My husband had the Rooster Almond Crunchy Grouper (Grouper breaded with Cornflakes sauteed with Almonds, Benne Seeds, Ginger and Chili Flakes, Served with Pineapple Farro, and a Mango Chutney Sauce He said it was by far the best meal he's ever had. I'm trying not to be offended ; He dug in so quickly I didn't get a picture. I had a burger which was very good. I want to try breakfast next time. We met the Owner/Chef to praise him for the grouper. I will say that the service is a bit slow as they had many tables and only two servers. But it was ok, it was still an experience. Just don't be in a hurry and enjoy.

The beef tenderloin Benedict exceeded my expectations in terms of taste and flavor. Despite its small size, the cafe offers a delightful, intimate ambiance that captures the essence of the local community. The restaurant is located at a corner in a small shopping center. The place has plenty of parking around. The restaurant has a small sitting area outside with ref umbrellas. They can be seen well from the street. The inside is small and cute.I had a good food experience here. They make everything from scratch. The fresh homemade biscuits are a must-try. They are good. I tried the Jalapeno Sausage and Gravy Biscuits and I loved it. It was not spicy but tasty. The Pork Belly Grits was another good dish. I liked it.The staff was very friendly. The service was good and we all enjoyed the food.
