Longhorn Steakhouse - Naples

My mother and I went to this restaurant on New Year's Day and both ordered the filet mignon. The steak was cooked perfectly, but disappointingly it was only about an inch thick. I specifically asked the waitress before ordering if the filets were still nice and thick, and she assured us they were. However, the steak ended up being smaller than the palm of my hand and thin. This is the second time in a month that we have had this issue, which is why I made sure to ask the waitress. I initially thought it may have been a problem with a different location, but it seems to be a consistent issue. The advertisement for the restaurant does not accurately represent what you actually receive. While small discrepancies in food advertising are common, this difference was particularly significant.

I visited Longhorn for my birthday on December 23rd and was dissatisfied because our party of three did not receive the Stampede dessert. Additionally, I was disappointed that Longhorn does not offer a senior discount like Outback does.

Steak was overly peppered seasoned, distracted from natural flavor. French fries were not seasoned and served cool, not hot and not crispy at all. 10 ounce salmon was a very small portion compared to previous visits.

The food was fantastic and the service was top-notch. The steaks were great and the potatoes were delicious.

What can I say? It is Longhorn. The food is consistently great. I had the Filet and wife had the Ribeye. Both were perfect. The seasoning/rub is what makes them Longhorn on top of the meat cuts. We keep going back because for a chain based steakhouse no on else compares.
