The menu is excellent, the wine list is one of the best I have seen. The service at the table was best perfunctory. The food was excellent, but pampered by not having wine when it was needed. When paying for the meal, the server could return a credit card without apology and mix the credit card clips. The restaurant was busy, but the main problem was the setting of the server
We just had the most wonderful meal at Bleu Province. Stopped in for our first time. We were celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary. No reservations, but not a problem, which we appreciated. From the hostess to our server, to the food and drinks from salad to dessert, everyone and everything was amazing. Mediterranean Sea bass was fantastic, preceded by a delicious green mesclun salad and followed by crème brulet and a chocolate mousse dessert. Highly recommend. Thank you for making our special celebration so special. We can’t wait to come back!
We returned this season after Hurricane Ian, knowing that Bleu Provence had been swamped and gutted. And the reviews on TripAdvisor were terrible. So with trepidation we made our reservation and returned with the season. And I am happy to report that the bad reviews did not constitute my experience. The physical plant is as attractive as ever. We were seated on the back patio. It was, as usual, much quieter than indoors (which can be very loud . The service was good. The food that all 3 of us had was excellently prepared and presented. The wine list, which is in my opinion, in the top few in the U.S. was still the same extensive (and expensive! selection. Of course, the food prices were way high, but that's just part of the deal here. If you want a high class dinner experience, Bleu Provence is still at the Naples high end.
I'm going to give this place 2 stars only because of the very sweet waitress and I'm in a good mood. Other than that this place is a mediocre mess which is really a shame because it has the possibility of being so much more. Located on a quiet corner away from the hustle and bustle of Naples, the place seems like a cute French bistro you might find in Paris. Then you try to speak to the person right next to you and realize you cannot possibly hear a word because the place is so loud and no one has thought that people who go out to dinner together might actually want to speak to each other while dining! After sitting there for about 25 minutes the nice waitress came to take our order. Unfortunately she had an accent which made understanding her nearly impossible in a room where you can barely hear the person next to you anyway. We ordered escargot and a soup for an appetizer and waited and waited and waited and waited and after another 45 minutes finally our appetizers and entrees all came at once! We sent back the entrees and ate our mediocre at best appetizers. Our entrees eventually made it and were mediocre as well. All in all a very disappointing experience with very ordinary food and service with a lovely and personable waitress. Be smarter than me and save your night and go somewhere else. I can assure you you'll be happy you did.
I had dinner with my husband and absolutey loved it! Great atmosphere, amazing food and wine, and the icing on top of the cake was having Dana wait on us. He turned a wonderful dinner into an even more amazing experience. I will definitely be back, but only if we can sit at one of his tables again. Thank you Blue Provence, and thank you Dana.
