Zephyr Drive Inn - Nanton

Came here hungry before we were to begin an event Saturday evening. Given the economy these days, best to support the local business. Conveniently situated on QE2 south as you pass thru town, it's hard to miss.. an older building, plenty of signs advertising burgers, ice cream, etc. a typical burger/shake joint. Placed an order for cheeseburger combos with fries. They would be cooked to order, so a 7-10 minute wait was no big deal for me, especially since it was cook to order, it would be good hot food. The cheeseburgers were wrapped nicely, a little messy, but they were very very good and hit the spot nicely. Fries were great, as they weren't salted heavily, just plain, so we could customize as we wished. Pretty basic menu, very good food that hit the spot at a reasonable price as well. I'll have to try the ice cream or the Italian Soda next time I pass through.

Fries were soggy and hot dog had a bunch of random stuff on it, i never asked for them to put stuff on my hotdog so i don't know why they did! A tiny bag of fries that aren't even cooked costs 4.50$ Thanks for...that! Again nice people but will never go back!

If you find yourself driving through Nanton, Alberta, make sure to visit Zephyr Drive Inn. The food and service are fantastic. We tried their burgers and poutines and they were absolutely delicious! Don't forget to order one of their milkshakes too - they are incredibly tasty! This is more of a takeout spot where you can enjoy your meal at their picnic tables or in your car. We will definitely be back on our next trip through. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

I hate to say it because they seem like nice people, but the food at this restaurant is subpar. The fries are either undercooked or cooked in oil that is too cold, resulting in soggy and greasy fries. The burgers are mediocre at best and taste similar to the ones you would find at a fundraiser BBQ outside of a store. Unfortunately, we will not be returning here.
