Tania's Restaurant - Nanaimo

Could not recommend this restaurant. The sausages were cooked in a deep fryer and not well and the lack of care and presentation for the food didn't help. My impression was that local produce was not used in the meals.

I haven't been since Courtnay and Judy left after Tania sold the restaurant and this will be the last and I've been going there for 20 years. Sat there for 10 minutes while for ladies worked the floor and kept walking past with no acknowledgement then 1 says she be with is right away another 10 minutes and many more passes by ladies on the floor and still no coffee and there was 4 ladies on the floor. Walked out and never ever going back. Too bad hard to say goodbye to such a Nanaimo staple...miss the previous staff and ownership!

Stopped in for the first time a week ago after hearing good things on TripAdvisor. I'm surprised it took so long for us to check this place out - it was great! Great diner food, BIG portions and very friendly staff. Perfect for when you want a standard breakfast at a good price but better quality than a chain. My husband had the pancake stack and couldn't finish it! The eggs benny was good, hashbrowns were homemade, which was nice. Not much vegetarian on their menu for lunch, but we'll definitely come back for breakfast.

Wife was away with her girlfriends, so I had to make breakfast, naturally I went out to this little place that I have driven past for years and never stopped in. Fast friendly service, large delicious portions. What makes this place work is the people and the food, bring your positive energy with you, if not, stay home!Big thanks, job well done, I will be back!

Only open for breakfast and lunch. Always busy. Super friendly staff. Servings are huge! By far the best Clubhouse Sandwich I've ever had. In fact that's all I order now. Home made soups are awesome, especially the Cream of Mushroom and the Creamy Chicken Noodle. When ordering pancakes, they'll ask you how many you want. Warning: they are as wide as a dinner plate. My son made the mistake of ordering three the first time, two the second time and even that was too much for him. Now he only orders one. I haven't talked to anyone who's had a bad meal. I'm a regular and like I wrote earlier I order the Clubhouse with the soup special or fries. I eat half of each and take the other half home for lunch the next day. This is by far the best diner I've ever been to and I'm so lucky to live near by.
