We stopped on a whim because they had chainsaw carvings outside. Decided to stay for lunch. The chef was outside and welcomed us very enthusiastically and told us about the specials and encouraged us to stay for the live music later. The server was super friendly. We had the cheeseburgers which were home made and very tasty. I had mentioned it was my birthday and the chef personally brought out a piece of Granny's Cake, which was a recipe from her own grandmother. They all made me feel very welcome and special. Definitely will go back again!

The sculptures and bikes made us stop at this roadhouse. Extra bonus was the live music. We stopped for one drink and had the pleasure of listening to the music playing inside while we sat out in the patio. The strong dark ale hit the spot. Service was friendly and efficient. Plenty of free parking in the lot.

Prawn stir fry was good fish and chips was OK. Draft beer was good. Server was excellent. A little dark and grubby - in a good way. On balance a good choice for a meal or drink if you are in the area but dont go out of your way.

This place from the outside leaves much to the imagination with its old stone siding and rustic look on the outside and inside. When you step into this bar it it's like taking a step back in time from the sights, sounds and even smell. It's got a similar feel like the small town bars one runs into in the northern parts of the province.I was skeptical but was impressed and pleased with both our visits to this place. The food was priced well, the beer was cold, and the service was positive and friendly. We came back a second time which happened to be karaoke night and was impressed with the local turn out to support local bands. Being a retirement community, for the most part the crowd was older but was just as capable of having a great time. On the same trip I checked out a new modern trendy place that opened that week near by and it's atmosphere paled in comparison to this old vintage bar as well as the food here was better even being classic pub style food. This is worth a stop especially on live band night!
