The Old Ambo Cafe - Nambour

My mother and I called in for breakfast and both loved this cafe. She had the Scrambled Eggs with Asparagus and I had the Avocado on Turkish with the addition of a poached egg. Service was fast and the food was delicious. Prices were great. Can't say cheap because that implies something is substandard but they were inexpensive. Loved the old tables and chairs and we spent the first 10 minutes deciding which was our favourite. Great coffee. The frontage is unassuming so you need to look for it if you're in a car but its worth the effort. Loved this cafe and would happily return again.

My wife and I visited this café today and we were impressed by the friendly service, the quality and value of the food and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Lunch was superb, but the blueberry muffins are to die for. Graham and Gwen Marsh, Burpengary East, Qld.

Delicious home made food in a unique 'old meets new' setting. Great friendly service and reasonable prices with lunch at only $10.

I always enjoyed the coffee here, but have now tried the food on several occasions, and can say without a doubt that it is the best value for healthy food anywhere on the Sunshine Coast (a big call I know).Great coffee and freshly baked berry wholemeal muffin for $5 !!!!!Certainly the best (and freshest) muffins I have ever tasted - and friends who I have taken there agree. The ever changing range of vegetarian meals prepared daily - served with beautifully prepared choice of salads - for under $10 - just has to be experienced. In winter there is a daily curry or similar.Combined with the intriguing atmosphere - being surrounded by collectibles and antiques - this is a lunch time experience worth driving a long way for. We are lucky to have it here in Nambour

We have had several meetings at this restaurant and their chai tea with almond milk is truly addictive. I think the person who prepares it does so with care and love. It is the best!
