I enjoyed a delicious lunch of potato pancakes, salmon and shop-made cheese. So many other options I was tempted with for lunch, and many yummy looking desserts. Little slow on getting the food out and not a fan of the coffee but that's probably just me as the coffee was very popular.
Relaxed atmosphere, excellent service. The food and coffee is so delicious. We have not had a meal at this restaurant that is just average, they are all just delicious.
What all can I say about Husk and Honey Gluten and Grain free cafe (H & H)? It goes beyond gluten free by eliminating all grains in the cafe (people are discouraged from bringing their own food because of the 'no grains' in the cafe policy -for people with a great sensitivity). They source the best possible fresh produce and organic ingredients wherever possible. The young owners, Johnny + Tash, are easy going and friendly, and they've created a great staff dynamic. With relaxed atmosphere & tasteful music, there is also a cool vintage feel to this healthy eating cafe. It's an unlicensed cafe so good for the family -dogs can stay on a leash- outside. In my opinion, H & H is a place where you can have casual lunches but also business meetings or even end of year break up parties. The portions are generous and the service fast (I noticed both times I was paying attention). Their is an all day breakfast menu, as well as a lunch menu from 12-2:30pm (kitchen closed from 2:30, but still drinks & cakes are available till 3:00pm). The menu changes once a month & always has vegetarian options on the board and a soup option in winter. There are smoothies available, but they don't offer fresh juices as of yet. I recommend, Splurging on a pot of chai, their date & banana cookies, also the chocolate chia seed cake is delicious! When you order and pay for a mug of coffee, you get an actual decently LARGE sized coffee (There is a discount when you bring in your own coffee mug encouraging patrons to reduce wasteful packaging) and a vegan option of coconut or almond milk is available, you just have to ask. The cafe is open six days a week from Mon-Fri 7am-3pm, Saturday 8am-1pm. With minimal outdoor seating & modest indoor seating, and a tendency to get busy around noon, best be sure to get there a bit before then to get a table (checkout there menu on Facebook to preorder your favourite dish). H & H is quite central to Nambour town and just off the main drag. There is free parking (as is pretty much in all of town) on its side street, but good luck finding a parking spot. However, you can find parking, within walking distance, under the Woolworths shopping complex. All in all, highly recommend H & H for its healthy food and Great vibe ~it's one of my most frequented cafes in Nambour and hidden gems on the Sunshine Coast! Enjoy :)
Was so happy we found this little cafe on trip advisor when on a long road trip up the Bruce Highway. I definitely recommend making the small detour off the highway to enjoy fresh, healthy and refreshing food instead of your usual fast food options. Quirky furniture and decor, lovely staff, GREAT coffee and delicious food in very generous portion sizes.
