This restaurant takes advantage of people with disabilities by overcharging them.
We had a light breakfast and coffee here. The coffee (Kicking Horse) was very good and they offered a variety of strengths. The scone and bagel were very good as well. They appear to have a wide selection of teas (although we are not tea drinkers). The restaurant is kind of neat - lots of older items spread around. The staff was friendly and the service was good.
I stumbled upon this cozy little restaurant one day in search of a craft beer. I soon realized they only offer beer classes, so I decided to try their grilled cheese and homemade root beer. It was delicious! The prices were also reasonable, unlike the comparison made in a previous comment. It's unfair to compare Tim's to this charming local coffee shop that uses real ingredients.
Yes, it's a bit on the pricier side, but that seems to be the norm for coffee shops in small towns. Muffins go for $3.25 and a double Americano costs around $3. It's not really fair to compare their prices to Tim Horton's, as one reviewer did. The quality at Tim's just doesn't match up to these true, scratch-made muffins. In any case, give this place a shot. The food is delicious. And while you may be taken aback by the $6.25 charge for a coffee and muffin, just remember that it's made with real, local ingredients that support the community. To me, that's worth every penny! :D
