On the first day we had Maru na Bhajia, which is a simple and traditional dish with sliced potatoes immersed in a spiced chickpea flour batter and deep fryed. It is served with a few different types of Chutneys. The taste is fantastic and they are also vegan. During another visit, a few people in our group had samosas and pizza. The third visit we had Masala dosas and uttapam, which are vegan South Indian dishes. The fresh juices are also great. The staff is very attentive and the restaurant is also clean. It can be a little hard to find because it is not on a road. It is connected to the M.P. Shah Hospital, and most people in Nairobi can get there when you get lost. There are also safe parking spaces in the hospital parking lot. Enjoy! Updated by previous review on 2012-12-14
I had lunch and dinner at Riyas 3 times while I was visiting Nairobi. Simply great!! Food was finger licking good. The place was clean and staff very friendly. I had both vegan and vegetarian dishes. Sunday buffet lunch had many varietes and I enjoyed my favourite Undhyu all fresh mixed vegetables with special spices and spiced up and deep fried balls made from chic pea flour fresh fenugreek leaves.

The food at this restaurant was delicious and had a really authentic feel. The owner, a friendly Indian man, was interested in getting to know us better. However, it's important to note that this small, casual place located on hospital grounds is more suited for a quick meal rather than a formal dining experience.
This is a fantastic restaurant with authentic cuisine, owned by an Indian couple. The husband made an effort to get to know us and offered recommendations for places to visit. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is conveniently located next to the hospital. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.
