In Vegetable Appetizer, we ordered Cottage Cheese Wheel French Toast, which was great. In the main course we had Paneer Salli Pav which I didn't enjoy, maybe it was too authentic for me and it had too many masala ingredients. But the pavilion served was very fluffy and spongy, as if it were served immediately after it was made. As a starter without vegetables we had Chicken Farcha and it was very good. We also had Irani Chai which was superbly authentic and the Malai Kulfi, Mango Kulfi and Pista Kulfi desserts were the perfect end to our visit to this place. One thing that was bothering was the late service. Maybe it was Sunday so the rush was on the high end to properly manage the service.
Sudden plan but great place .. I love the ambience. Seriously, I've never seen The B.A.W.A. Gallery .. I order Chicken Forcha its fabulous and Paneer Soti Boti .. But forget about the food when you found The B.A.W.A. because of the ambience. Small place but big bomb. Pocket friendly.
Less known fact that the place was first inhabited by a Parsi family and is now being converted to 'BAWA'. The general ambience tells you the story. There is the feeling of "Purani Haweli" Food-4.5 / 5 Ambiente-5/5 Service-4.5 / 5
Nice place on civil lines. It's in a cozy corner that is difficult to identify in passing. But let me tell you once you step into the room it is really well planned with segmented outdoor and indoor seating. The walls have bizarre qoutes with Parsi frames, funny one-liners and works of art on the walls. They also had an antique tape recorder (which used to be called HMV) in the attic that I fell madly in love with! Unfortunately they had Vidya Vox playing when I walked in, seriously not cool ???? a nice collection of books in the store. When we got down to eat we ordered a chocolate cake glass with rum, which was decadent and truly divine. The sponge was soaked in rum really well. Then I ordered a Baileys Irish Milkshake which was really good too. To complement all of the sweet treats we ordered, we also ordered the Wurstfest, which was french fries mixed with fried chicken sausages topped with cheese and mayo. I found it a little dry considering the description of the dish and the fries were ready. In summary, the entire experience was really good. A bit pricey but the chocolate rum cake glass was amazing.
I was there recently and was not satisfied at all. The food was not up to expectations. The cheese had a lot of mustard sauce mixed in which made the taste awful.
