The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and very affordable. The owner is friendly and they also offer inexpensive vegan brot (mostly made with rice flour).
This lovely sandwich shop offers a limited number of options, mostly vegan. The seating area is a bit small if you prefer to dine in.
Located on the second floor, this charming restaurant is just a 5-minute walk from Sakae railway station. I tried the nasu (eggplant) muffin sandwich and a soup, both of which were incredibly flavorful. I look forward to returning to explore their other vegan options. Although not entirely vegan, they offer a variety of vegan choices including vegan baked goods like vegan melon pan, which is a rare find, and vegan bread. The space is quite small, accommodating a maximum of 6 people, so it's advisable to call ahead if dining with a group to ensure prompt service.
Kome-hana bakery/café, Nagoya, Thursday 29/6/2017 4pm A short walk from Sakae station (see photo of map), located on the 2nd floor, partly under a stairway. Just a six seater café selling a selection of gluten-free rice breads and some cakes as well a lunch. Although we once again arrived after the lunch hours, the owner prepared us a lovely meal – tomato minestrone soup, okra cutlet, mini burger (he called it an English muffin) and a small fresh salad vege bowl. All tasted good. Owner spoke English haltingly but we were able to communicate beyond just the menu. Is a former art student and has a small amount of art on display. View from two seats by the window over the road and under the Expressway but quiet inside. Price very reasonable at 2500Yen for two of us, including an extra ‘burger’ and a slice of cake. Another good find!
