Mixed bathing is a wonderful experience 10:00am-4:00pm for day trips. Basic body soap is available for washing before entering the bath.
By the end of October 2021, it is a narrow road about 4 km from the general road, but it is enough to pass the incoming vehicle. The most important thing is the bath, but the smell of the spring is wonderful and you can enjoy several kinds of hot springs. It is no surprise that electronics will be disassembled within one year. The locker is not installed because it corrodes quickly due to such circumstances. It is better not to bring valuables. Also pay attention to accessories. It is also good to wash the body a little before bathing because there are many toilets. I wrote a lot, but I want to go again.
1 night 9800 yen (with breakfast and dinner) for 2 people without toilet. The temperature is just right. There were two indoor baths at different temperatures and one open-air bath. The indoor bath is hot, and it warms up to the open-air bath. From 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The bath has a good temperature and is comfortable. The hotel is also kind and recommended. Dinner was delicious with beef sukiyaki for 300 yen separately!
My wife and I are tourists from Hong Kong. We were for two nights. This was by far the best onsen experience for us. The hotel was well maintained, all saw vintage but we could see that the owner and the workers did their best to keep everything in good shape. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. The view was ok in winter, view of the river. Futon and the mattress were soft with beautiful support. The food was absolutely fantastic. Nicely presented and delicately cooked. I could only describe the seafood soup as challenging. The Sukiyaki and Shabushabu were excellent, with the right taste. Not too sweet or salty. The fish was brilliant with a spirit-difficult scent. Everything was fresh and made to an almost perfect detail. The onsen was magnificent and magical. It heals. The Suminoyu was lukewarm, but we could dive for a long time. The Shikanoyu was much warmer and we had to take breaks during each dive. Super comfortable. We are experienced with mixed baths. The guests were nice. Ladies and gentlemen were polite. Sometimes different guests talk to each other. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm. It was a pity that we couldn't speak Japanese. Some old gentlemen tried their best English to talk to us, and we tried our best with our Japanese vocabulary. The taste of the suminoyu was not bad, while the shikanoyu tasted much stronger. A little sour with a strong sulfur taste. All employees were nice and helpful. They worked fast. The boss was a very nice lady. That was definitely a must-go onsen hotel in Japan.
Great rooms and location. We stayed at a room with mountain views and bath in the onsen with great views of the mountains. It was a great experience.
