Barkeep’s Eatery Taps - Nacogdoches

I can't praise Barkeeps enough! My only regret is that I indulged in too many appetizers and couldn't finish my meal. The owners are incredibly kind and treat their guests like family, sharing the story of how they built the restaurant and crafted the menu. They are also very accommodating for gluten-free diets. If you're in the mood for Asian cuisine, this is the place to go – it truly outshines any other Asian restaurant in the area. I'm thoroughly impressed by the flavors here and wish I had discovered this gem sooner. I initially thought it catered mainly to college students, but the atmosphere is vibrant and perfect for dining alone without feeling isolated. Meanwhile, the dining room is open and quiet, making it a great choice for family meals. Be sure to try the curry – it’s a standout dish! On the drink side, the Blushing Geisha is a must-try as well! Just be cautious, as it’s a deceptively smooth drink that doesn't taste like alcohol. It features a unique coconut twist, making it both beautiful and different. I can't wait to return for the steak!

We visited last night and I was truly impressed. We were there to celebrate the life of my brother after paying our respects to his widow, who has recently passed away. It was a difficult time, and when we arrived, we hadn't anticipated how many people would be there. The restaurant could have turned us away, but instead they welcomed us with grace and patience. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Thank you for providing us with a place to honor the life of a generous and loving man.

This restaurant offers a fantastic and diverse culinary experience! The beer selection is excellent, and there's something for everyone on the menu. The disc friars and samosas were particularly favorites of mine! I will definitely be returning to this place!

We loved it! the children loved it! my 9-year-old always asks to go back. service was fantastic and the atmosphere was brilliant! definitely come back. it was unexpected when we saw the name and the bar asiate. we were pleasantly surprised. our realtor olivia suggested it and I will never ask her judgment again

Barkeeps is a hidden gem! I frequent Palm Beach gourmet restaurants and Chef Siva’s food and elegant presentation rivals many of those! The atmosphere in Barkeeps is very basic and simple, which makes the excellent food even more of a surprise! I’ve read a few reviews about the service not being the greatest this is a small rural college town, with most employees working hard to put themselves through school. The prices are low, so please take that all into account before criticizing the service. They are the nicest people around. If you haven’t tried Barkeeps, you must! Get the salmon and fried rice!
