There are cabins available too if you need a bit privacy. Unfortunately we weren’t able to experience a candle light dinner due to shortage of candle stands, which I request should be seriously maintained by the management. With a typical Indian restaurant parlance the menu has mostly all the ubiquitous Indian/Chinese items you can opt for. We ordered chicken funkee cause it had a different ring to its name, mutton Keema stuffed nan, chicken stuffed nan, and kadai chicken. Funkee chicken: This is the tandoori version of chicken lollipop. We were delighted with the size of pieces, more than enough for two. Well-cooked and tender chicken sprinkled with right amount of spice should get a 4/5 as tandoori starter. Kadai chicken: A good balance of savory and right color was a delight to eyes. And taste did not disappoint either. I’m not quite sure what to write about kadai chicken. Well its kadai chicken. Duh. The Indian bread items needs a special mention here. We ordered chicken stuffed and mutton stuffed nan. And boy it was really stuffed. Kind of an inch thick stuffing. Yes we stuffed ourselves with that. Binged in we finished it all taking short breaks. Over eaten, waddled out. eatandroll.wordpress.com
A day trip to Mysore and we find ourselves here in the evening after a long tiring day. When my friend recommended me to go to Ruchi, I was expecting some road side kind of dhabha or something. But man this place is big and beautiful. They have a large garden and have set open air candle lit dining area. The food was decent with price on the lower band. Service was okayish also. The main selling point is the outside doing area with decent prices.
I have heard a lot about this place from my brother. Finally got a chance to visit this place during my family get together. It is really a very clean and descent place to dine in. Paneer and roti is the best combination here. But I must say that every item ordered by us was properly cooked and equally tasty. Aloo mutter was also very properly cooked and presented. Pro's - Good service, Tasty north Indian food, Cleanliness, it is near by a college and serves CLASSY food (generally near colleges every restaurant wants to MINT only money). Con's - None encountered
Pluses: 1. Ambiance: They have a huge outdoor area with lush lawn, waterfalls and streams. On a cool evening, its an ideal place to enjoy the cool breeze with some beer and good food. 2. Service: food comes quickly, staff is courteous and helpful 3. Food: They have the typical north indian dishes, tandoor, chinese, few continental dishes. They do a good job at all of them. Nothing really stands out in the menu but they do justice to everything that is on it. 4. Price: Rs 195 for a non veg starter and similar to a non veg curry, appropriate for the place and taste. 5. Parking. Ample parking space. Minuses: I didn't find anything that was a negative. Final Verdict: Visit this place if you want to have a relaxed evening under the stars on a clear sky with good food .
Restaurant set in an open lawn, provides a very good service. All the chinese starters were good, soup also tasted good, so were the north indian gravies. However, hara bara kabab we ordered was not up to the mark. Even the breads were quite hard. A bit of improvement is required in terms of the taste but overall is a recommended restaurant due to the ambience and the service.
