On a lovely afternoon, make your way to The Treehouse, situated behind the restaurant, for happy hour and some oysters or a lobster roll. Not all lobster rolls are equal, and this one was absolutely perfect! The oysters were incredibly fresh and delicious. For dinner downstairs, we enjoyed oysters Rockefeller, duck rillette, New England clam chowder, empanadas, beets, and katsu monkfish. Each dish was vibrant and full of flavor, but the beets and monkfish truly stood out for us. These two dishes were expertly crafted and featured unique flavor combinations that really impressed us. The staff was friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu. They regularly update their offerings, so each visit allows for new culinary experiences. We can't wait for our next visit!
The menu is a delightful surprise as it changes daily based on what the team can source, which makes us eager to return since it feels like they create something special and unique every day. We ordered a variety of dishes, including oysters, sourdough bread, Rhode Island clam chowder, beets, and white fish. Every dish was absolutely exquisite. As for the service, Beau took great care of us at the bar, and the bus staff was outstanding as well. They never rushed us, yet our plates were promptly cleared and our water glasses were always filled. The atmosphere was lively and cheerful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. If you're in the Mystic area, this is definitely a restaurant you don't want to miss!
What a charming and laid-back spot! The majority of the seating is outdoors, with a cozy covered area in the tree house that's absolutely adorable! You place your orders at the bar. While The Tree House doesn't offer gluten-free options, I was able to enjoy my 21 Day Dry Aged Burger without the bun, served on a bed of lettuce—and it was fantastic! My friends ordered hot dogs, raw oysters, and a lobster roll, and everyone seemed to have a great time! It's also dog-friendly, which is a nice touch! I can only imagine how lovely the tree house must be at night, with all the twinkling lights!
This place is a must-visit when you're in Mystic! The oysters are incredibly fresh, the mussels are fantastic, and the cocktails are both innovative and refreshing. Be sure to make a reservation and enjoy the experience!
We had a wonderful experience at the Oyster Club! We specifically wanted to sit outside in the TreeHouse, which looked delightful online, and we were thrilled to find it enclosed for the chilly weather. Each of us ordered a cocktail, which were much more complex than what we're used to, but we enjoyed them nonetheless. We started with Oysters Rockefeller—our first time trying them. While we've both tried raw oysters before and found them acceptable, they're not our favorite. However, we thought it was only fitting to try oysters while we were there! Oysters Rockefeller offered a completely different experience, and we savored every bite! We also loved our main courses; I had the tagliatelle and my fiancé chose a steak. The presentation was stunning, our server was fantastic, offering helpful guidance and exceptional service. We left feeling full and happy! Though we're not from Connecticut, I would certainly return if we found ourselves in the area again!
