The other night, I got home just in time to watch the college basketball playoffs (my husband’s alma mater was playing), only to discover that the pizza I ordered had sausage on it, even though I had not requested sausage. I called to report the mistake, and the manager offered to replace the pizza, but only if I returned it right then. I explained that I couldn't do that because of the game, but he insisted he wouldn't replace it at a later time. I asked him if he was just going to throw the pizza away anyway, and he confirmed he would, but he needed to show the staff what they did wrong. Really? Is the staff's understanding so limited that they wouldn't grasp the error without actually seeing the pizza? What does that say about the staff and the manager who hired them? In my eyes, it’s quite disappointing.
