The food was very tasty. Very nice ambience. Location is also quite good. God place to dine in for a change. Quick service. Small yet good restaurant.

One of the best Mutton biriyani in Chennai, friendly staff, good locality, not much expensive, alcohol available as it is an resto bar. Previous name of the restaurant was Masala pattinam.

They missed.5 rating lack of service... Otherwise staffs are very kind welcoming... Ambience is good.. we have been there for lunch... Ordered prawn varuval is well fried with masala dry dish.... Briyani combo which is includes white rice, rasam, chicken curry very delicious... Finger licking.. fish 65 and curd sooooperb combo... Fish Tikka taste good but not marinated well with spices... Fresh juice refreshed me... Beetroot halwa is tastes different... VFM... Pocket friendly... Yummy tummy filling... Marking this as my one of the favorite...

Excellent service was offered to us and really tasty food was served. The ambiance was calm and lets us enjoy our day. Actually we have been there for friends bday and we r glad we chose that place.Hope to go again soon

I've had the opportunity to dine at this establishment twice. As with all my other reviews I shall be basing my review solely on their fine biriyani, and not considering other facts such as price, ambience and service.<br/ <br/                   Masala Pattinam Lucknow Chicken Biriyani<br/ <br/ 1. Flavor profile of the Rice 4/5, Balanced, yet somehow impactful. While it does stray a little bit from what you'd expect from a lucknow biriyani, it still is very enjoyable throughout the meal as the flavors envelop your palate. <br/ 2. Texture of rice Consistency 5/5, texture and consistency have been consistent and also very enjoyable. The mouth feel is amazing as well.<br/ 3. Side dish(gravy raita) 3/5, perhaps most disappointing part of the meal was the gravy, I was disappointingly unable to figure out what sort of gravy was provided. While the raita alone managed to be a good side dish.<br/ 4. Meat 4/5, amazing amazing chicken. Definitely one of the best... But, it does have some consistency issues, though they are rare. They do manage to ruin some otherwise perfect meat. <br/ 5. Overall 4/5, Even with all it's (minor) flaws taken into account it is definitely an amazing biriyani, especially if you're in the mood for some lucknow style biriyani.
