Tham Chinese Restaurant - Murren

One of the best Asian restaurants I visited! Great hosts! Must try the duck dish!!!! Thanks for the great experience

I've been in Mürren for 3 days and have eaten at Tham's 4 times. Easily the best asian food I have eaten in quite some time. Tham and his wife are extremely kind and loving people. They only accept cash, but the food makes the...walk to the next ATM and back absolutely worth it. Can't wait to come back for more :

This restaurant is basically a store front, presenting a fairly non-descript image. However, the cuisine is world class. Everything on the copious menu is prepared to order, with quite efficient service. The Shanghai noodles were the best that I have ever had. Since it is small, it fllls up fairly quickly, but there is the possibility of take-out. If you want something other than Swiss cuisine, this is the place to go to in Murren.

Normally wouldn't expect to see a Chinese restaurant in such a small mountain town but we saw the strong reviews and decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed, the food was excellent with fresh ingredients and careful preparation. The chef has been running this restaurant in Murren for 25 years and his wife runs the front of the house. She was extremely nice and speaks at least 6 languages. We had a wonderful experience that was rather unexpected. Give it a try!

We were very happy with the food.. Really nice stuff specially the black pepper shrimps.. The couple running the restaurant were really very sweet and were willing to take special requests for vegetarians or muslims looking for halal food.On our request they did our food without the chicken broth. The ice-cream from the machine was also great!!
