Grilled Cheese Crab Cake

I saw this little restaurant tucked away in a strip mall. Who wouldn't be intrigued by Grilled Cheese and Crab Cakes? Especially someone originally from Maryland. We were hungry and decided to stop in for lunch. All but 2 tables inside were full and a few outside were occupied as well, first good sign. A small laminated and well worn menu on the table listed many offerings from the sea, including crab, lobster and clams, mostly deep fried and several variations of grilled cheese. Knowledgeable, friendly wait staff told us their 2 most popular dishes but we chose cream of crab (lower carb) and grilled cheese and tomato with fries. We ordered quickly but had to wait a bit for the meal. Was it because there was a sign on the door looking for line cook AND wait staff or because our meal was being prepared with attention to detail? Thankfully and to our delight, it was the latter. The soup was thick and hearty so each spoonful had some crab meat, lightly dusted with Old Bay, altogether very flavorful. The fries came out piping hot and the grilled cheese sandwich had plenty of tomato and was oozing melted cheese from all sides. We drank from 16 ounce bottles of Pepsi products. A very pleasant meal. We are new to the area and expecting friends to visit. Each friend who visits will be introduced to The Grilled Cheese and Crabcake Company. You should give it a try too.

Unreal sandwiches! We enjoyed the fried shrimp melt, crab cake melt, and super-secret fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, bacon melt. Each sandwich better than the last. Generous sandwiches and a large basket of fries is plenty to share. The staff was very friendly, especially to my three kids. We will absolutely be back!

This was the best grilled cheese I have ever eaten! The combinations of seafood with grilled cheese is such a great concept. The grilled cheese fried lobster was great and had amazing flavor. The sweet potato fries with Apple butter.... #mindblown!!! Kudos to the creative genius behind this resturant!!!!

What a hidden gem Simply the best meal on the beach! Incredible value, delicious food, creative options, and great friendly service! We always feel welcome and leave pleasantly full!

Great place! Stopped by on a recommendation from a friend. Glad we did. Enjoyed the Crabmelt and tomato soup! Small seating area but food is on point!
