My husband and I are ALWAYS looking for little mom and pop shops when we go out, and this place fit the bill of what we were looking for. The menu looked great online, and we were excited to dine on an outside patio. It didn 't disappoint. Our waitress Kayleigh was very sweet and helpful. Went over the entire menu with us, waited patiently, and even hung out to laugh and joke around. Even telling us good places to go with teens. We loved her! This place didn 't make you feel like just a customer .. they treated you as if they had known you for years! We decided to try a LOT from the menu, so we could take stuff back to the hotel. A shrimp crab specialty individual pizza, a cheese pizza, hot and BBQ boneless wings, salad, cheesebread, and chicken nuggets. Everything was INCREDIBLE! This place did not disappoint and we are so glad we stopped. The patio was beautiful to dine at. Thank you all for being so hospitable to travelers! We will be back next year!!
The pizza here is 100% frozen. That isn’t speculation, that is a fact. There are a few other reviews saying the same thing. The crust tastes like a flatbread from subway lol. I’m not a Karen who wants to harm a small local business, but there’s no excuse for a pizza spot to be serving frozen pizzas. With that said, the muffuletta sandwich and fries I ordered was pretty decent , they did however forget the ranch I payed for though. ?
Ahart’s is most definitely the best mom and pops pizza parlor in the boro. I have been coming here since they opened and even got engaged and had our wedding dinner there. Not sure why people are saying the pizza dough is frozen though, you can clearly taste the difference between the two and you can also hear and see them making the dough if you take the time to look. If you haven’t made a visit yet I highly suggest you take your family and go, you will not be disappointed.
1 star seems to be A LOT for this place. We ordered Fried ravioli, the Antipasta Salad, the Quatro Formagio pizza, a selected topping pizza, the spaghetti and meatballs and drinks. Our drinks barely got refilled. The Spaghetti never came with meatballs. I had to personally go up to the counter for appetizer plates, Parmesan, salt and pepper. The pizzas tasted like a Tostinos pizza from Kroger (great for kids . My spaghetti sauce had no flavor and I had to douse it in cheese, peppers and salt/pepper. The fried ravioli was definitely frozen from a bag. The highlight was the dressing for the Salad (it had shrimp! We will not be returning here. Best of luck.
Pizza and garlic bread were okay. Service was nice and quick we were the only ones in the restaurant majority of the time. The cheesecake is a flop. I hate to be such a critic but don't waste your money. It's thick and tastes of the consistency of glue or something. I've never in my life had a cheesecake taste like that. Plus is was barely cold, almost warm. Just left a bad taste in our mouths completely. The prices of the pizza and bread were good though, would be a nice option for the way home to stop in and get take out if you're looking for an affordable option.
