New York's - Murcia

We have just spent 3 weeks in Spain on a nearby golf course and this bar restaurant is a hidden gem. The service is fantastic and the food is gorgeous. This family run bar provides a local friendly feel, it's clean, welcoming, often has entertainment, shows sports ie footy etc, offers reasonably pried drinks and tasty food which is great value for money. Would defiantly recommend and return.

My parents have owned a place in Murcia for many years, every time I come out to visit we always go to New Yorks at least two or three times. Whether it's for a quick pint (or six), a Sunday dinner or a bite to eat before there's a singer on, I have never been disappointed. The owners/staff are friendly, its got a really good atmosphere and the beer is really good. The people who are leaving 1* reviews are either local competitors trying to make people avoid this little gem, or they're expecting Michelin star food for a tenner. They've even got footy on the Tv. My mrs loves the salads, I'm a big fan of the badboy pizza. Can't go wrong

What a terrible experience and will never go again! First we turned up for a Sunday lunch at about 1pm kitchen not cooking until 2pm fair enough no problem booked a table at 630 pm. Went off for the afternoon, arrived at 625pm went in the bar to let them know we were there, said he couldn’t serve us at the bar due to the pandemic again fair enough I understand the situation he said he would send someone over we waited and waited for 30 mins and no one served us even though the staff served others more than once ! I have never written a rewiew before as a business owner myself I understand how damaging a negative review can be but was disgusted with the service or should I say lack of

Below Average We went for Sunday lunch having been there a few times previously and food being good. However not sure if the chef has changed but the meal was very poor, nothing had been seasoned the beef was dry and tough. Yorkshire puddings rock hard and vegetables cold. Very disappointed the whole meal was tasteless!!!!

So ended up here on a Monday craving roast beef it wasnt on the menu but i still asked the guy taking my order said he would ask the chef lucky for me he said yes. When it came out my eyes lit up it was well presented and tasted lovely ,there was that much beef on the plate that if i wasnt flying back to uk the next day id have got a doggy bag and made a meat pie . lovely service lovely food will definatly go again and again.
