Las Acelgas - Murcia

We stayed in a nearby hotel and stumbled over this place a little side street, because we were all able to chat and laugh from the outside. an amazing sound. it was very busy, but the friendly waitress who did not speak English...did hand gestures to explain a table outside would soon be free. we waited in the scenic bar. She came and took us and shook her head and laughed when I asked about the menu. they hit some tapas elements and when I didn't understand a few of them, she went and found a customer who spoke English to come and translate for them. it has only added everything to the charm of the place for us. we ended up with a beautiful tapas lunch made by delicious house croquettes, artichokes and meatballs, not pretty, but wonderful rustic! the people at the other tables were friendly and entertaining us what was really nice. we were the only brides in there and I would like to go back when we are in murcia, we felt like a part of their community for a few hours! oh and it was also so good. eating, crust bread and several glasses from vino came to about £17.

We sat at the bar and had a choice of tapas, served quickly and with a smile. eating is tasteful, though not beautiful, including rabo' (oxtail), lengua' (tone) and artichokes with freshly cut ham. all came to a very reasonable price.

A place that is very consummated in murcia. traditional food of the garden, fresh beer, good people., and if you have the opportunity to go on the weekend. for the octopus!
