But this ice cream was exactly what I needed to refresh my spirits! The owner and his wife opened their lovely shop just...for our group...otherwise it would have been closed. They use locally grown and unique ingredients to create wonderful flavors inspired by the land and the seasons. Their smiles and happy demeanor made the experience perfect. A visit to Muck's Gelati is worth a visit to Switzerland alone and I can't wait to return for many years to come.
We stopped here while cycling through to Bern along the Tour de France route. It wasn't supposed to be open on the day we went through but one of the group phoned a few days ahead and let them know there would be about us so they opened and let us have the feed stop just outside. When I went through, it was right at the end of the group and the owner was still around. He was a really nice chap and very chatty (through my broken German). Ice cream was superb and brilliant quality unexpected in this part of Switzerland. I hope they expand their opening times so that more get the opportunity to taste it.
Various self-made Italian ice cream varieties. muck (owner) repeatedly try new creations/tastes and I have to say that the creations are always very good! best egg in the region with unique taste variations! definitely a stop worth!
We were delighted with good friends from a neighboring town of müntschemier at muck and bright. muck has managed to create truly exceptional ice creams from domestic products. as parts of these flavors are to be mentioned as economical, rosmarin, basilikum or cucumber. even if you may not be able to imagine these sweet and criminal varieties in a milk ice cream, they are incredibly tasty and harmonize perfectly as milcheis and the accompanying aromas of honey, orange and much more.Muck gave us a small sample of many of his variations and a look into his production space, many thanks to it again!
