It took me a while in ordering because I was looking for the old menu, actually looking for the carne asada soft taco.So I just settled for the rice meals ,I picked the pork bbq rice over the ground beef. Was happy with the serving to price ratio quite generous so it's "sulit".Now the quality and the taste ,the pork bbq's texture is like pulled pork and the taste a bit on the sweeter side which both I'm not a fan of.The rice was tasty with sides of nachos and veggies. Overall it's still a go with the price ,and if you're just into fast-food level kind of Mexican/Californian food .
My daughter and I were actually craving for pizza earlier today. However, while checking out the menu of Amici, I happened to glance to my right and lo and behold! I saw my all time favorite Taco Bell! Knowing how my daughter loves mexican food, we decided to go for it! All the while I thought that all Taco Bell restos have closed shop; I got so kilig seeing one in ATC! I ordered the double beef burrito combo while my daughter got Cheesy core combo. I love that the burrito wrap is soft and chewy. I like the beef but I wish they could tone down on the beans or bean paste. Still we both enjoyed our food but I was still craving for pizza ???? I guess Taco bell was not able to take my mind away from pizza afterall! I was not disappointed but I was not wowed either. I say that they can make their food tastes better!
I immediately fell in love with Tacobell the first time I laid my eyes and tastebuds on it way back in college 2009. For one, it is the widely successful Mexican fastfood chain that I know, two, it offers Mexican food which we really really like and three, though it isn't actually a Mexican cuisine fast food chain(it's actually an American with heavy influence from the Mexican cuisine), it still manages to offer uniquely delicious food at really bargain prices. Even though we really love Tacobell, there is one thing I absolutely hate about it, and that is the fact that they don't really expand here in Metro Manila the very least. I'm not really sure about why, but boy am I glad to see it in Alabang Town Center a few months back. We were about to watch a movie with my family when I was scouting for a good food to eat while watching a movie. I was about to line up on Taters when I saw Tacobell. My mom isn't really a big fan of Mexican food but I was able to convince her to buy there as well. I went with my all time favorite Combo Burrito. it has the classic beef rice and beans in it with a lot of melted cheese. I particularly liked it because it has a lot of beef than usual which is always a good thing to have. My mom on the other hand ordered their Cheetos Quesadilla. Yes, I still think that it is an absurd meal even up to this day, but it has its perks. For one, it made the quesadilla crunchier and cheesier than ever before, but I think that it is still a bit expensive than I would've liked. Overall, I still consider Tacobell to be one of my favorite go to places for comfort food/ if I'm craving for some Mexican inspired dishes. Even after the redesigning that they did, it still delivers a really strong dining experience. yogoandcream.com
