Such a great place, down to every last detail! First off, love that it is a bit more upscale than a bar but still casual and kid friendly. Prices are a bit pricier than a bar of course but not outrageous. Our server was attentive and kind. Food was so delicious, you can tell a lot is homemade. My toddler inhaled the Mac and cheese. It is a bit loud inside but not terrible. I can also really appreciate the good mocktail list. And when I say every detail, it’s even neat that they bring the bill in a book/cookbook. Would definitely recommend this place! Parking: Parking seems to fill up at busy times Kid-friendliness: Great reasonably priced kids menu, and felt welcome having a kid there
AWESOME! Fantastic haddock fish fry with a rye bread stick and creamy coleslaw. The potatoe pancakes were crispy, as well as the fish filets. The haddock was light and flaky. I started with a cherry old fashioned, but preferred the Flirtini sweeter, but still packs a punch. Fork in the Road was packed. Reservations are recommended, but we were able to grab seats at the bar at 5, but shortly after that, the bar was packed too! 06/15/2024 11:15 a.m. Plenty of parking and seated immediately. I began lunch with my favorite cocktail, the Flirtini: Wheatley vodka, chambord, cointreau, pineapple juice, and prosecco. The artichoke dip was creamy, and pita chips were warm, crunchy on the outside, and nicely textured inside. And, plentiful!! I ordered a parmesan crusted chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was flavorful and moist on a bed of crispy greens. Did I mention that I love, love, love the Flirtini?
Very disappointed. Second time we went there. First time had the brisket sandwich which was so tough I left half there. This last time a got the Reuben melt which was terrible! The meat was very dry, and discolored. Took half home for dog. Waitress stated that sometimes the corn beef brine doesn't go all the way thru the meat. Then why serve it I ask. $60 for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks plus they add $1 for the kitchen staff? Never again
The server was great. I had a chicken salad. Very good. We ate lunch on the back patio. Very nice. However, we were all surprised by an HOH appreciation fee of $1 per check (there were 4of us dining). We asked what this fee is for. The server said for kitchen staff. I have never seen an HOH fee before. I think that should be a customer’s choice not automatically added to the bill. The salad alone was close to $20! This practice of restaurants adding credit card fees and now HOH fees is getting out of hand. These fees will begin to take away from a server’s tip. And consumers may begin dining elsewhere or not going out at all.
