It was my wedding anniversary, me and my wife love Indian food, so it ended up selecting this place based on the reviews from tripadvisor and Yelp. Actually the restaurant is very old, there are stains on the chairs and the tablecloths which may turn you off, overall ambiance is average.Let's get to food, the Menu lists all the popular Indian dishes.Appetizer: we ordered Lentils soup, it tested quite good but it was too salty which ruined the experience and ordered vegetable samosa which was tasteless..Main Course: we ordered Tandoori Grilledplatte as a recommendation from the waiter and Chicken Korma, both came with Basmati rice and we added Naan bread.we didn't taste the Indian spices in Tandoori mix grill, and its cooking wasn't the best as it wasn't crispy grilled as it should be. The chicken Korma was a great disappointment, the sauce didn't taste like chicken Korma, for sure it missed most of the important spices, the Basmati rice was cold and even the Naan bread wasn't that good.Frankly speaking, I ate much better Indian food at fast food restaurants paying much less! I paid 40 euros and we were really disappointed on our anniversary. If you are a real Indian foodie, avoid this restaurant at any cost, but if you would like to try the Indian cuisine, it wouldn't be bad I can say. The restaurant is run by a Nepalese family, and the service is nice, but even the nicest service can't compromise average food.
The cuisine is Indian /Nepalese and quite nice. I had Momos ( steamed dumplings ) with lamb and loved the juicy flavor and the sauce with it which is called "achar". Chicken chhoila is a started similar to chicken karahi, some thing like chicken cooked with tomatoes and ginger. The Buddha palace special biryani with prawns , lamb and chicken and raisins was also brilliant( it is served with a curry sauce). A bus stop is near by but better to come with a car, the place has a spacious parking for free.
