The sandwich/burger menu remains fairly constant, but the dinner menu changes somewhat frequently due to the availability of fresh ingredients. Be assured that everything you order here will probably be some of the best you ever had! I've eaten several times here and I've never been disappointed. The last time I visited, I was there with a bunch of navy veterans who had spent a lot of time in Scotland and some of them ordered Fish Chips. Everyone agreed that it was the best they ever had outside Scotland! I ordered the Seafood Linguine (Shrimp and Little Neck Clams) and it was fabulous! You have a good craft beer selection on both design and cans/bottles. You have a full bar with many special cocktails available. We sat immediately and the service was exceptional! Cheers!
Good place for a quick bite. My client has a great burger, I had the fish and chips.
Great experience! My son-in-law and my daughter loved Charleston and recommended this place. Just amazing. a little after 10:00 and sat immediately; our party of six. Alex was our waiter, and he was Top Notch! Johnny on site with our drinks, refills and helpful suggestions! Two of the children ordered chicken pliers, one of my boys ordered the Mini Hamburger, my daughter ordered the philly cheese steak, my son-in-law the BBQ-Burger, and I got the shrimp po' boy. Order came in a great time, and the whole food was nice and hot! The shrimp-po'-boy looked a little small on shrimps, but honestly you have shrimps in every bite. Everyone on the table gave high traces on all foods. But the French Pommes were amazing! It tasted as if it were only slightly sprayed with sea salt and maybe onion powder. They were amazing! Prices were good, with three meals for children, three meals for adults and drinks, just under $100. A great value! Three just something negative I don't hurt my review... Sweet tea is just not sweet! Maybe it's sweet north, but it's not sweet south! You should double the amount of sugar! Very satisfied with the recommendation and look forward to our next trip!
This place is top-notch for burger and fries based on dining at this place for over 5yrs. My favorite is the fungi burger with the truffle fries. A pint or two of your favorite brew with the meal makes for a happy afternoon/evening. The quality has not been consistent the last couple of years so I hope you catch them on a good day.
We traveled to Charleston from Connecticut and we had planned to visit Patriot 's Point museum one of the days we were there, so I looked for places with good reviews to eat at that were in the area. After visiting the museum we were starving and drove to Coleman 's Public House. When we got there, we weren 't initially impressed with the outside of the building, it was in a little strip mall and very unassuming. However once we sat down to eat, we were SO happy we chose to eat there. We ordered the Spinach Artichoke dip as an appetizer and it came with triangles of warm, soft pita bread and the dip was hot and cheesy...so good. My son and I ordered the Coleman burger and my husband got the California burger and they were hot, juicy and cooked perfectly! The fries were amazing as well, they were fresh, hot and still had some potato skin on them. They had a perfect amount of crispiness and weren 't soggy...they also were seasoned perfectly. We kept joking that out of all the fancy restaurants in Charleston, we liked our meal at Coleman 's the best. If you 're visiting the area, don 't miss this lunch spot, especially if you 're over at Patriot 's Point!
