The Water's Edge - Moville

We were treated wonderfully in this beautiful hotel. I will certainly return.

I attended a friend's wedding at this venue, and I must say the view was stunning. The service and facilities were outstanding as well.

I was awakened twice during the night by an alarm, and when I took a shower, the bathtub filled up with water. The extraction fan didn’t work, turning the bathroom into a steam room. I waited 20 minutes for tea, and when I asked the breakfast manager how much longer I’d have to wait, he was quite rude. I did receive a pot of coffee in the end, but for a so-called 4-star hotel, there is still a lot of improvement needed. Right now, I would rate it at 2.5 stars. The location is fantastic, but the issues in the rooms and with one staff member need to be addressed.

We booked a Balcony room in the Redcastle hotel for 3 nights and it far exceeded our expectations. There were very little photos actually showing off how amazing this room was so we were unsure of what the room would be like but it was gorgeous and quite big. (Even the photos I’ve attached don’t do the room justice) The staff were also fantastic, they left us alone our whole trip (which is ideal for me) and when we needed help they were so accommodating. The room came with good amenities, we had a smart tv, hairdryer, kettle and coffee machine, however there is no fridge. The location is perfect for a quiet getaway but if you’re hoping to walk around the town or use public transport instead of a car this is not the hotel for you. We had pastries every morning which were amazing, even when we were late one morning the staff were more than happy to give us a few pastries to takeaway. We ate from the captains bar menu with a view of the water and it was great, we also went swimming in the swimming pool which was very clean and quiet. All around we really enjoyed our stay at Redcastle and would definitely recommend to others.

The hotel is located within a golf club and overlooking the sea. Spacious rooms are well equipped even if not new. From the restaurant the panorama of the sea is very suggestive. Very kind and helpful staff. Voting Best Site for ceremonies and weddings, it is also possible to arrive by helicopter for an insured show.
