After they began to serve chashu shoyu ramen as ramen for the month in september, this place quickly became the best raven place for me in the bay area. authentic shoyu broth with a strong catsuo bushi taste, properly boiled thin noodles and discs are what I have left since I was tokio. there is no long line to wait like other newly opened rammenkettes, which is also a great plus. I seriously hope they continue to do this after end september as they do for a few other rams for the last months. I also tried Jiro style tonkotsu ramen, people say that you liked to healthy (no enough pork fat) for Jiro style, but I am ready to combine black pfeffer, garlic and pork fat. it will certainly try again.
Every time I came here, I had a great experience. The chicken paitan, tsukemen, etc are all delicious. Or an old tonseysu is not bad. The Shoyu Tonkotsu-Ramen is very rich and tasty. This is probably the only place in Bay Area that serves Nirou-kei-Ramen. Sometimes you have to wait to sit down. They use unreusable bows. For environmental awareness, you should bring your own chiffel.
Love the Rasmen chasu negi Gohan (shell bowl with glazed pork and spring onion. Also as there are chicken carate with Japanese Mayo. Among the arms, weve tried the chicken toripaitan, with chicken broth and ground meat. Also tried the shoyu chasu special, which was a clearer and more fish (dashi) broth, and finally the miso ramen. They have regular and large sizes, regularly around $13 and large around $16. My husband prefers the big size or the trunk with extra noodles. For 3.5 you can get a leg like the rice bowl or half of the chicken caraage.
Not a large restaurant, very friendly service! Ordered their special shoyu tonkatsu ramen and fried chicken. The ramen had kind of a sweet shoyu flavor, not very fatty broth, tons of bean sprouts and cabbage which lighten the soup base. Different than the many ramen I have had, but I liked it! It was quite large, I do wish the noodles were a bit more al dente. The fried chicken pieces were very delicious, light coating, juicy, and tasty!
