Hunan Home's Express - Mountain View

This restaurant offers straightforward meals accompanied by excellent service and friendly staff. The food comes out quickly, hot, and delicious. You place your order at the counter, then find a table, and your food will be brought to you in no time. There are plenty of tasty vegetarian options available, featuring real vegetables instead of tofu substitutes. The staff is welcoming, and our food arrived promptly. The eggplant in hot garlic sauce was outstanding—soft and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, leaving us with enough leftovers for another meal.

This restaurant, along with Chef Chu's, is one of my favorite spots for Chinese cuisine. It's important to order from the regular menu here to experience the best quality food. I recommend avoiding the lunch option, as those dishes are just average. However, if you choose wisely from the menu, you definitely won't regret it!

I miss the original Hunan Home's, especially their famous squirting chicken. This place doesn't offer table service; you have to order at the counter. The food is decent, but it's not quite as good as what Hunan Home's used to serve before they closed their El Camino Real location a few years ago.

If you want incredible Athentic Chinese food, then Hunan Home Express is where you should go. WOW! SESAME CHICKEN (GENERAL TAOS) is the best DISH in my book. Very friendly atmosphere. You won't starve.
