California Barbecue - Mountain View

I've had CABBQ cater several family events, and I've always been thoroughly impressed not only by their delicious food but also by their outstanding service! Their salmon is fantastic, and they have an amazing BBQ chicken menu, but their real hidden gem is the clam chowder. Yes, clam chowder—it's award-winning, or so the owner claims, and I can confirm that after tasting it. It's rich and creamy with a slight peppery kick and just the right touch of ocean flavor—not overly fishy like so many lesser chowders. It's hearty and delightful, and I really miss being in the Bay Area because I haven't found another caterer here in Denver that matches their level of service or skill in preparing upscale and backyard BBQ. Did I mention their chowder? It's absolutely fantastic!

The tri-tip here is absolutely amazing! It's packed with fantastic flavor from the spices and smoke. My wife really enjoyed the ginger soy salmon. I think my daughter was secretly stashing the grilled pork ribs in her backpack for later because she devoured so many of them!
