Church Street Coffee Books

It was bustling, but for good reason. I visited for the first time on Sunday and enjoyed a cappuccino along with a breakup cookie. The staff went above and beyond to inform me that a fresh batch of cookies would be ready soon, so I decided to wait, and I’m so glad I did! The breakup cookie has to be one of the best desserts in town. The coffee was excellent, and the atmosphere made it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy my time there.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming! I only tried a cookie, but it was absolutely delicious. It's definitely a charming place to visit when you're in the area.

The coffee here is delightful, and the treats are even sweeter! The breakup cookie is absolutely exceptional. I do wish there were more seating available, but the coffee definitely makes it worth it. The atmosphere is lovely as well.

The atmosphere here is lovely. The service was prompt and friendly. I’ve only visited once and had tea, which was nicely flavored. My companions also enjoyed their beverages.

This place is AMAZING! The coffee is excellent and the baked goods, especially the shortbread cookies and breads, are simply fantastic! Prices are reasonable, and the UAB students working there are wonderful. I would give Church Street ten stars if I could! If I lived in the area, I would visit every day! Keep in mind that the staff relies on our tips to help with their income, so be generous! Consider leaving $2 instead of $1, or $5 instead of $2. Pro tip: I just tried the Tree Hugger bar, which has a delightful combination of granola, sunflower seeds, and brown sugar. It’s one of the best-tasting, absolutely delicious, somewhat healthy bars I’ve ever had! You have to try it!
