Panera Bread - Mount Vernon

The food is good, but the service always takes time. Especially because they play young children at work.

Went to Panera Bread in Mt Vernon, Ohio on Oct. 3rd as a treat for myself and Granddaughter. Upon walking in the smell was terrible, like rotten socks. But, we stayed anyway. My problem was NO BREAD FOR THE SOUP or SIDE DISH ?????? WHAT THE HECK?? Isn’t that what you guys specialize in??? We ordered sat down got our order, my soup was ok, but, the Mac n Cheese wasn’t hot at all. I did ask to have it re heated. Which i got the stare and the rolling of eyes. No, I didn’t get any names. Just POOR service. And POOR attitudes.

I love having a decent fast food choice since Mount Vernon lacks in the decent sit down restaurants. The quality of ingredients is nearly unmatched in our small market. Most recently I ordered a pick 2 and a frozen caramel cold brew. The caramel cold brew was so good. However, when it comes to portions I don 't understand the value in paying these prices and receiving such tiny amounts of extras . I upgraded my French onion soup from a cup size to a bowl size, and my green goddess salad was the normal half. But the tiny little 1.5 ounce dressing cups, one for cheese for my soup, and one for dressing for my salad... Are always barely even half full. Half or less than half of 1.5 ounces is honestly a pathetic attempt at cutting costs. Your prices are already pretty high, and I like to tip. But is this really satisfactory for your customers? If we ask for more, will you charge us for extra? Honestly... Please fill the dressing cups... To the tippy top. And if we order a bowl or a full salad, give two. Since we 're paying for more. Thanks!
