Kennedy Fried Chicken - Mount Vernon

This Kennedy’s has a big belly guy in the morning, who normally mans the grill now taking orders occasionally and big belly is STEALING FROM AND HARASSING CUSTOMERS. This man will charge you whatever he wants and tell you prices after. Along with it he will ignore you, not give you your food. The little old guy thats with him follows his every move. They BOTH need to be fired immediately.

The food at this restaurant seems to appeal mostly to those who aren't accustomed to home-cooked meals. They tend to serve overcooked items, including their chicken, which isn't even properly portioned. For example, their chicken wings are already small, but they manage to serve even smaller ones. They also don't follow special requests, preparing dishes according to what the majority prefers rather than your specific tastes. I won't be coming back; I had previously stopped visiting and I now remember why. If you're in Mount Vernon, check out Crowns on 14th Avenue and 1st Street instead. I guarantee they have someone in the kitchen who knows how to fry chicken in Crisco, and you won't be disappointed!

The chicken legs are the tiniest I've ever encountered, but they taste alright. The staff is really friendly, and I usually get a deal of three for $5.99. Overall, I'd rate the food a 3 out of 5.
