The Manager Georgia is one of the rudest people I think I have ever spoken to in customer service!! We made a booking for dinner and my partner rang back 10mins later to reserve an earlier time and to add a guest. There were ample vancancies left in both time slots. The response she received from Georgia was ‘Your driving me crazy. In peak season we will not even answer your call. Not cool!!’ Less than impressed with the way way my partner was spoken too i rang back and cancelled and when I said I was going to leave a review, Georgia she swore and hung up. Dinner Plain hotel- NOT COOL.
Dropped in for a quick drink just after we arrived about 6pm. Beer was really good. Staff were friendly. But ... the music was too loud, especially considering we were the only people in there. We came back later that night for a meal which was pretty good and the music was not nearly as loud, so maybe they just weren't expecting anybody during the day when we first dropped in for a drink
Visited with a fairly large group of 15 withoit booking for dinner (The General at Hotham was closed on Sunday a bit bizarre! so a bit of pressure was on the kitchen I suppose. $10 for a glass of house wine was passed over for water. From a very limited pub menu, this couple we managed to spend $80 for 2 mains (which were at best tolerable and 1 beer. Should have gone to the High Plains about 100 meters away. A better menu and cheaper drinks in better surroundings. Wont be back.
We arrived at the restaurant for dinner at 6:30pm with a large group. We attempted to order some parmas and pizzas after not eating all day due to a long trip, but the woman taking our order falsely claimed that the parmas were sold out. As we were finishing our meal and getting ready to leave, we noticed them serving parmas to the tables nearby. To make matters worse, the food we were served was extremely salty, almost as if it had been garnished with rock salt.
