I still have a jar of their homemade tikka masala sauce in my refrigerator, and I will cherish it even more now that I've learned they have closed. Wishing this lovely family all the best as they move to Portland! We'll miss them dearly.
I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to defend this fantastic restaurant. Some people just have issues and may not be satisfied, using Yelp as a platform to vent their frustrations instead of addressing them directly with the owners so they can resolve them. Expecting 100% organic food at a low price in a restaurant in Mt. Shasta is simply unrealistic and shows a lack of understanding about restaurants. Falguni and Rudra, I wish you both great success with your new restaurant. I have no doubt it will thrive, and I’ll gladly travel to Portland to dine there! They are truly some of the most wonderful and talented small business owners. The food is incredible, and you can genuinely taste the love in every dish! They’ve earned their 5-star rating, and their food never disappoints. As owners with a new baby, they have every right to make a change; it’s our loss as diners! Maruti, you’ve come, you’ve conquered, and you’re moving on to even greater things. People will be talking about this amazing place for a long time to come.
We will truly miss them, along with their delicious meals and genuine hospitality. Please keep us updated on their new location in Portland. We look forward to visiting soon. Warm regards, G and D.
Of course closes the place. it was started and led by foreigners. eating was great, but the choice was limited, the hours were incompatible, too much staff, and they did not know how to integrate with rural America alone the uniqueness of shasta. I'll miss eating. so much for spiritual eating, packing and running for more money in portland. ps dodee’s review below is accurate. the answer of the peculiarities shows why they have failed.
This place is closing and moving to Portland but you can bet we will opt out for ever dining here again. Let me say the prices are insane for what you get!! We gladly pay for quality food when we get what we pay for. It's not that the food is not tastey hence all the great reviews but it is not 100% organic and 100% gmo free. I left feeling terrible. If you are used to eating clean you will feel crappy. I had to take two medi clay capsules after dinner to soak up toxins. When you get food to go they often skimp you On white rice the cheapest thing In The country! You'd think after spending 30 bucks on something to go you might get a full cup of white rice???? Unreal! Although they are friendly I would never eat there again. To me healthy is not conventional dairy products! Yuck any one knows they are full of pesticides larvicides and fungicides as well as hormones. 100% organic pasture raised dairy is the way to go raw if you can. Lastly I will say if the ingredients were up to this kind of quality the price would make sense! Plenty of restaurants offer og and cost less than this!
