Double J Cafe - Mount Repose

My friends and I have eaten at Double J a number of times . . . always clean, always friendly, always great service, and the food is very good. Dinners are generous, sandwiches are always served the way you ordered, and the prices are reasonable. Several restaurants have occupied that space, but this is the best hands down! Woah! Don't overlook this tiny restraurant!. This little mom and pop restaurant has it all. The prices are fair and the food is delicious. between my family I think we tried the whole menu and not a scrap of food was left. My 13 year old son even spent some of his own money to bring home a bowl of potato soup for him self he liked it so much. (that says a lot)

Wonderful Fresh Homemade Deliciousness!. This little gem of a restaurant is worth the drive if you live outside of the Goshen area. If you live near the restaurant then lucky you! The food is wonderful, fresh, and just delicious! I ordered the ribs and a side salad. The ribs fell right off the bone and the BBQ sauce was extremely tasty. I'm not a fan of Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce but I love the Double J's recipe. By the end of the evening I had ended up adding some chili to my order after tasting my friend's dinner. I have to say that I will be working on my chili recipe now that I've had the BEST ever! My friend also ordered the Blackened Tilapia sandwhich and, although I dislike fish, I had to try it. I couldn't get past the fact that they were exclaiming about how good it was. Let me tell you, it was wonderful. No, I didn't order the Tilapia too but, I will next time! Again, I do not eat fish and this, I believe, says something about the skill that is in the kitchen. What a great experience the entire dinner turned out to be. The owners are so nice and really care about the food that they serve. The menu is not extensive but it doesn't need to be because there are also daily specials. The food is great, the restaurant is very clean, and the service is friendly and speedy. Oh, I almost forgot...not sure how I could...but wanted to mention that the keylime pie is YUMMY!

The ribs are without a doubt the best we've ever had. We ordered enough to feed 35 people and the ribs were the hit of the party. Everyone raved about them. We love Double J and the meatloaf is great too!!
